What types of photos work best?
Clear, well-lit photos where the face is visible and not heavily covered work best. Portraits, family photos, and wedding images are ideal. Very blurry, very dark, or heavily obstructed photos may produce weaker results.
How long does generation take?
Usually a few minutes. You can safely leave the page — your memory keeps processing, and it will be waiting in your library when you return.
Will the result look exactly like the person?
AniMemories is built to preserve identity, but AI results can vary. Movement is generated, not recovered, so small differences from the real person can appear. We keep motion subtle to stay as faithful as possible.
Can I animate old or damaged photos?
Yes. Old and scanned photos often work beautifully, especially with the Vintage Film style. The optional restore-and-enhance step can improve clarity before animating, though heavy damage may still show.
Are my photos private?
Yes. Photos and videos are private by default, stored securely, and never publicly accessible unless you explicitly create a share link. Your media is not used to train models unless you opt in.
Can I delete my photos and videos?
Always. You can delete any memory instantly, and you can delete your entire account and all media permanently from your account settings.
Can I turn a photo into a painting or a print?
Yes. Beyond animation, AniMemories transforms a photo into painted artwork — museum oil, soft watercolor, pencil portrait, and more. Artwork uses the same credits as videos, and any finished piece can be ordered as a high-resolution download or a museum-quality framed print or canvas.
Can I use group photos?
Yes — the Living Scene style is designed for wider scenes and groups. Styles focused on facial expression work best with one clear subject.
Can I request a refund if generation fails?
If generation fails for technical reasons, your credit is returned automatically — no request needed. If a video or artwork completes but you're unhappy with the creative result, that isn't automatically refunded; see our refund policy for details.
